Taking care of your Boar's Back rustic barrel furniture.

Wood is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Sometimes these changes may be noticeable in the physical appearance of the product.
Metal hoops are left in their original condition and will have surface rust which will add to the rustic effect.

We recommend that any items being used outdoors are covered in inclement weather to help preserve paintwork and the aesthetics of your item. It is also advised to store the items inside or have them adequately covered in winter.

Like any outdoor timber product, you may need to carry out seasonal maintenance, eg freshening up your furniture, we recommend Ronseal garden paint (blackbird) which is what we use when making the Barrels.
We do not lacquer our furniture so you may also choose to do this yourself to add an extra layer of protection from regular use and the elements, especially in costal areas.

Clocks, platters, cabinets.
Our items made for inside your home are made from natural oak Whiskey casks. Oak will naturally expand and contract in heat/damp conditions. We recommend any indoor items are located in a cool setting away from open fires, radiators and underfloor heating.

Proper regular maintenance will go a long way to ensuring the longevity of the product.
